It's a .....

It's a GIRL!!!!
So we were supposed to wait another 2.5 weeks to find out the gender, but I had a long day at work Friday and decided on a whim to go to fetal foto in the mall to finally find out what our little baby is going to be. We were both so excited to find out and couldn't wait any long and are both happy to have a healthy little girl!
After we got our u/s pictures done somehow I lost the pictures walking out to our car from the mall. I was so mad and we spent hours tracing every step we took to try and find the pictures, but no luck. Most of the u/s pictures were of her spine since she was face-down and not moving much, other than a few kicks here and there.
The next day, we went back to check with lost and found again and retrace our steps, again, no luck. I decided to get another one and this time she was on her back so we were able to get some good profile shots. We also got a dvd which was really neat to see the movements and she even tried to turn for us. Most of the time she was sucking her right thumb (she must be right handed).
We had my family and grandparents over for Jeff's B-day BBQ last night as well and decided to surprise everyone with white cupcakes filled with pink frosting that my sister helped to make. We are so happy to have a little girl coming to join us soon. Now we can also finally get the nursery together while I still have some energy.

Happy Birthday Jeff!!!

This past week we celebrated Jeff's 26th birthday and will continue to celebrate this next weekend (in true Evans fashion of month-long birthday celebrating). Jeff and I went to dinner at Braza Grill where Jeff got to eat all the meat he could handle and then my parents took us out to see a movie. Sunday, Jeff celebrated at his parents house for dinner and then this weekend we are having a BBQ at our house. I forgot my camera last week, so hopefully I can get some other pics this next party.

We went to our second Dr. appointment today and heard the baby's heart beat again....160bpm.. the same as last month. All of my blood work from last visit turned out great! Now if only I could get over my naseua....I shouldn't complain about the symptoms of being pregnant since I am just lucky to be pregnant, but being sick to your stomach all day everyday is really getting old! I feel like I have the flu and only throw up when I eat sweets. My stomach started to pop out at week 14 and I started getting stretch marks....boo! We have also set up our ultrasound to find out the gender.... APRIL 11th! (The day we will be on the radio from hell show on x96 and leave for Hawaii the next day). We are thrilled and so excited to find out the gender. Jeff and I have our hunches... but I guess we have to wait a little longer to find out. I haven't bought much besides diapers because I want to know the gender first.

The long awaited announcement

Yes, it is true! Jeff and I are finally going to become parents this September! It has been quite a journey to get to this point, but we couldn't be happier! This is the only ultrasound I have had so far and since it was done at 6 weeks, its hard to see the little grain of rice that is quickly growing.

Finally a POSITIVE!

A little more info and details about our journey so far:

After struggling for over a year with ttc, I finally sought help at the Reproductive Center at the U and after 2 iui's, lots of money and missed work days, weeks of daily self-injections of hormones and other medications, and tons of prayers we finally had success!

This little ones due date is September 13, 2012! It has been a very rough first trimester as some days I couldn't even move off the couch for days, not being able to eat anything, and feeling terrible but luckily I think the end of the sick days are close as now I am actually able to eat real food and help around the house, oh and I can actually stay awake until 7 pm! I have come to appreciate Jeff so much more as he has been such a great help to keep up with our crazy life, working 60 hours a week, and taking care of me. I am now 11 weeks along and saw our Ob/gyn this past week and got to hear the baby's heart beat which the Dr. said was strong and healthy. The one consistant craving I have had the past few weeks is Chick Fil-a chicken sandwhiches...I never really loved them before, but I could eat them everyday now!

In other exciting news, Jeff and I finally booked our vacation to Hawaii for April. This trip has been long-awaited since we never really went on a honeymoon, or had a graduation trip last year and we figured we need to do it now or we will never go once this little baby is here!

The holidays 2011

It has been a busy few months and I am a little behind in posting so here is a review of November and December:
November: We celebrated Thanksgiving at my parents house and afterwards headed out for our tradition of Black Friday madness at Walmart. This year we sat in line (for my dad) starting at 5 pm for a tv which wasnt on sale until 12:00. While I waited in line, Jeff set out to sneak all of the items we wanted into a cart. We were quite successful this year.

Also in November we raked plenty of leaves from our backyard trees (approx 12 large garbage bags) and enjoyed the nice weather.

December:

December was also a busy busy month filled with family parties, work parties, trip to see temple square lights, and of course Christmas and shannon's 16th birthday.

Shannon chose to have her 16th b-day dinner at Blue Fish, a Japanese sushi restaurant.

Christmas eve was spent at the Bath's where we had a nice dinner, played games, and read the traditional new christmas book.

Christmas morning was quite busy since Christmas was on Sunday this year. We began at Dave and Cher's for breakfast and then went to my parent's ward and then opened gifts at their home and ended the evening at Grandma Evans dinner.

All of the Stockings at Mom's house

The cats were enjoying some Christmas snuggling too!

We also opened stockings at our house this year.

The Year 2011 in Review:

2011 was a big year for both Jeff and I.

-We both graduated this May (Jeff with his AAS and I with my DPT)

-We bought our first home in July in South Jordan and are loving being home owners

-I started working my first job as a PT at St. Josephs Villa working with elderly and doing home health.

-We attended lots of concerts this year and most of them were FREE!

-We bought our first 4-wheeler.

We have also faced many ups and downs emotionally this year and are very excited to see what 2012 brings to our family.!

Halloween and Dad's Birthday

This year for Halloween, we hosted a little family party at our house with my family and the grandparents. We had our traditional chili, breadsticks, pumpkin shaped pizza, and pumpkin cookies and pumkin pie.

Jeff dressed up as a cowboy and I was a witch.
The pictures of our pumpkins didn't turn out too well, but Jeff's was a wolf and mine a spider.

My dad had free tickets to the Real Soccer playoffs. The soccer games are so fun and people get so into them here in Utah...I never would have guessed it would be this popular.

Dad's Birthday was the 29th and he got his favorite "Chocolate Dunford Donut" Birthday Cake.

Anniversary weekend fun

Happy 4th Anniversary to Us!!!

On October 11th we celebrated being married for 4 years. Since our actual anniversary date was in the middle of the work week, we decided to have a weekend celebration. We started off going to dinner at PF Changs in SLC and woke up the next morning and went to the X-96 BASH concert. Sunday we continued the fun with 4-wheeling after church. (Our anniversary gift to eachother this year was a 4-wheeler). Tuesday night Jeff brought us dinner(a heart shaped pizza).
We spent Sunday afternoon enjoying a 4-wheeler ride with my family at our annual tradition at Tibble Fork. The changing leaves were beautiful and we even ran into some snow.

Jeff on our new 4-wheeler/anniversary gift to each other.

Concerts galore...and more to come!

For Labor day this year, we went with my family to Park City for a picnic and made a detour to walk around the old Park City cemetary....it was creepy and like something you would see in a movie with huge headstones and most of them were from the pioneers era.

Ster and Amanda who have gotten into going "ghost-hunting" in cemetarys.

Also for Labor Day weekend, Jeff and I decided to take a drive up to Snowbird for Oktoberfest to have a brat and german chocolate cake.

Here are the tickets from all of the concerts we have gone to the past month...and the best part is....we have only had to pay for the Rascal Flatts concert....and we got free tickets to the Big A show in Oct.

We saw Blink 182 as part of their reunion tour this year. I was actually impressed they put on a great show.

Rancid opened up for Blink. I was more excited to see them than anyone!

For my birthday, Jeff got me Rascal Flatts concert tickets since I have always wanted to go. They were very entertaining and had a really neat stage set-up. Sara Evans opened for them.
