Hatch Vacation

For Memorial Day weekend we took a trip to the Hatch Cabin. This was Aubrie's first time going there.
As I was packing to go, I found her passed out on the floor (first time that has ever happend).

Beaver Chevron rocking chair:

Aubrie has started the "cheesy scrunch face" every time we pull out the camera. She is enjoying her breakfast at the cabin.
I wanted to take some pictures of the Bunk house and things around the lot that I have always remembered as a kid. We were surprised to see the bunk house still standing this year, but this will probably be the last as Dad, Jeff, and Ster started taking the wood off (which will be going into my parents barn). My mom would always tell us stories of when she and her brother were little they would sleep in the bunk house in the bunk beds that are in the big cabin now and tell us how all night long they would hear the skunks scratching under the house.
This is the little trailer that my Great Grandma/Pa and Grandma would stay in on the Mammoth river. This was pulled behind the '57 Chevy that my parents have. My Grandma and her parents would come from California every summer and spend the whole summer fishing by the river.
The outhouse that is leaning as well. I always remember the animal skulls Grandma would place on the toilet seat (I would never want to use it for that reason).

 The big cabin.
In the little house: The entire wall is filled with magazine cut-outs that Bammy put on the wall. When Ster and I were little, we filled the blank spots up with more recent pictures.
Behind every main door in the cabins there are tons of fishing supplies and hats.
Aubrie's first 4-wheeler ride in the lot.

8 months

This crazy girl is 8 months old and becoming quite active and is so cute. I really like this age because she is so fun to play with. During our "month picture" photoshoot, we can no longer stick the tag on her since she takes it off immediately and tries to eat it in 2 seconds.
This little ham is turning into a trouble maker...just look at that face above.
Aubrie has recently developed a love for her baby doll and gets so excited when she sees it. She spends a long time analyzing her face and eating her hands. She got this cute new church dress for Easter, but she was too sick to go to church that week.
I can't believe how quick babies grow...this was just at Christmas time and she could barely see the toys on her bouncer.
Now she stands over the top of them all and I even had to raise the bouncer since she is so tall. She loves to stand and has very strong legs and good balance.
At 8 months Aubrie:
- Has had no more ear infections!!!! Yay for a little more sleep!
-Is such a mild mannered baby and will be so content playing on the ground with her toys (as long as she can see you)
-Loves to eat her "baby mum mum" rice crackers and cheerios
- Tried avocado but didn't like it too much
-We had to lower her crib since she is getting too big and pulling on her mobile
-She got "big girl" carseats this week put into the cars (they are a pain in the butt to install!)
- Loves going on walks in her stroller and kicks her little legs the entire time
-Is growing more and more hair on the back of her head and its coming in dirty blonde and wavy
- Loves saying "da da da"
- Gets really excited when she sees any cats and loves pulling their hair any chance she gets
-Has her baths in the regular bath tub while still in her pink tub since she splashes so much and gets to wear her stylish pink and purple ear plugs.

IN OTHER NEWS:
We are still busy working and trying to find time to play... lots of fun vacations to come this summer. Jeff and I have started Weight Watchers which is definitely a change in diet but do-able. Jeff lost 7 lbs and I lost 2 the first week. We are hopeful we can be motivated to become healthier..I definitely feel a lot better.

It's Finally Spring

The start of Spring was a little rough this year with cars having problems, medical bills, sickness, and little little beauty of a rock causing a lot of damage.

Jeff decided to mow the lawn for the first time this Spring and all of a sudden I hear a crash (assuming it was the cats knocking something over, I didn't get up to see what it was)....the lawn mower had picked up a rock from across the yard and threw it into the office window of course shattering the entire thing, screen included. I am just thankful nobody was hurt.

 The adventures of Aubrie:
Daddy and Aubrie eating her favorite new treat: vegi rice crackers
This little girl loves reading books. :)
Telling mom about the cats and dogs in her book.
 Thanksgiving Point with Grandma Pearson

We enjoyed a night out on the 27th of April to see Senses Fail at In The Venue and Jeff caught a drum stick from one of the opening bands and at the end got a set list from the guitarist.

Birthday Party, Easter, and Surgery...7 months old

This little girl is becoming so cute and has such a happy and fun personality, despite continous ear infections since Christmas.
We celebrated Jeff's 27th birthday party by going to Texas Roadhouse for dinner with his family and having a dinner at our house for the Evans side. Jeff had to have his Costco chocolate cake of course.
This year Jeff's favorite presents were an ipod touch, lots of clothes, and a Corvette picture for his " Man Cave".
 Aubrie and her Aunt Amanda
Easter weekend was at the end of March this year and of course little Aubrie came down with a little stomach bug on top of her ear infections, so we took it easy.
She of course got spoiled by the Easter Bunny and family with things such as: toys, books, swimming suits, clothes, and a life jacket. Aubrie had a favorite Easter egg that she got from her daycare's egg hunt and of course  she picked a neon green cat egg that she would not let go of all day.

 7 months old!!!
I had to get a close up of her crazy hair. Since it is so long on top the only hair style I can do is "piggies"
At 7 months old Aubrie:
* Is starting to talk more and is using different sounds to babble all day and says "dada dada dada" and laughs
*We officially stopped breastfeeding due to lack of interest on her part and low production on mine...at least I can finally have chocolate again!
*Loves playing peek-a-boo with mom or dad or her toys
*Has started eating cherios but makes a gagging face the second it gets into her mouth
*Had ear tubes placed on 4/3/13 due to 7 ear infections since Christmas. She did wonderful and all the nurses were ooohhhing and aaahhing over her at the hospital.
*Gets so many complements when we take her out to a restaurant or store and people(especially older men) will come up to us and say how cute she and her hair are.
*Is rolling over like its not even a challange anymore and in the morning we will find her turned all around in her crib

At Riverton Hospital in her cute baby gown right before her ear tube surgery on 4/3/13. I was really nervous about her having surgery and especially about the anesthesia, but she did so well and recovered quickly. The procedure was 10 min and the longest part was the recovery afterwards. Hopefully this sweet girl will start to feel lots better and sleep better too :)
So content just playing with all the fun toys in her hospital bed.
