Fall Fun at the Pumpkin Patch and Cornbellys

Aubrie had been asking for a pumpkin so we took her to Peterson Farms to pick out some pumkins.
She had a blast trying to pick up every one she could get her hands on.

She helped to decorate for Halloween including the spiders on the front door.
We went to Cornbellys at Thanksgiving Point to play in the huge pool of corn. She spent easily an hour in the corn rolling in it, throwing it, and burying herself. She also like walking around in the corn maze (for the first 30 minutes) until we were lost for another hour and were all getting tired of it. Good thing we had Jeff to lead the way to the exit.

She has changed so much in a year's time.

We also celebrated our 7 year anniversary on Oct 11th. I surprised Jeff with dinner at Braza Grill and a stay up in Park City.

Happy 2nd Birthday Aubrie

This little cutie turned 2 years old on September 2nd 2014. We had 2 parties for her, one with the Bath family and one with the Evans. Aubrie loved being the center of attention on her special day. She chose to have an Ariel/Little Mermaid party and helped to pick out the decorations.

I even made homemade cupcakes with blue frosting and Little Mermaid pearls and fishy sprinkles.

Aubrie told us she wanted to go to the Zoo for her actual birthday so we spoiled her with a day at the zoo and even a train ride. She was jumping up and down while in line for the choo choo train she was thrilled.

" Aubrie picked it" when she picks strawberries or raspberries from the backyard
"Ariel Vitamin" and "mulk" in the morning

We have been working on Potty training since her birthday with success for a few weeks. After having to take her every 30 minutes and her not asking to go...I kinda gave up. I figure she will start asking when she is ready. She did great at first and knows when she is wet. She loves the potty time song and getting little prizes.

Summer is coming to an end...

On July 7th Jeff had a microdisectomy surgery for his herniated disc at L5-S1. He tried all conservative routes like steroid injections and therapy with no improvement. His doctor recommended he have the surgery as he was starting to loose his reflexes in his right leg.  So after what seems like the entire day at TOSH, he was able to go home late that evening.
The hardest part of the recovery for Jeff has been not being able to bend or lift anything heavier than 10 lbs.

Later in July, we attended Draper Days parade. Little Miss Aubrie loves parades and getting all the 'nandy' she can stuff in her mouth.

She is such a girly girl and asks me all the time to paint her nails, give her 'sasges' (massages), and loves wearing her high heels, dresses, and carrying her puuuse (purse).

One morning I was busy doing the dishes and looked up to see Aubs slurping her milk from her bowl.....hmmm....wonder how many times she has watched daddy doing this?

We love our Aubrie

I have been needing to write about all the funny things Aubrie has been saying/doing the past few months before I forget.

-Her favorite tv shows are:
Chuggington (Chuggy) One morning she woke up with her eyes still closed and asked me for "chuggy". I had no idea what she was saying since she had only watched the show 1 time, but now she loves watching the train show.  She also loves Sofia the First, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Little Einsteins( she loves to clap and pat with the characters), and Doc Mcstuffins. All on Disney Jr of course.

-Her favorite movies:
She has finally started to watch and ask to watch movies. She loves The Little Mermaid (she knows all the characters by name and loves to sing like Ariel), Frozen (and loves to sing "let it go"), Monsters Inc, Nemo, and Cinderella.

-Her favorite foods:
She is not a picky eater and loves to eat all kinds of fruits and vegetables. She especially loves to eat grapes (straight from the bag while grocery shopping or climbs into the fridge to get a handful). She loves to ask for "nandy" Candy from the parades, and get popcicles to eat outside.

-Activities she enjoys doing:
She loves swimming and enjoyed attending a few weeks of swimming lessons with Mom/Dad. She had no fear at all and loved climbing up the side of the pool and jumping into the water. She also loved kicking and splashing her legs and arms through the lazy river.
She loves playing in the sprinklers outside and squeals the entire time. It is even better if she gets to have her 'fends' friends come play with her in the backyard. The little girls in our circle maul Aubrie and get in fights over her because they want to play with her. They love to hold her and treat her like a baby, but she hates it and wants to be a big girl.
She loves any and all animals. She loves horses, chickens, cats, dogs, bunnies, and smashing buggies "ewwww".
She loves going to the "paaaark" and everytime we drive by she squeals. She loves climbing to the highest spot she can get to and going down the big kid slides.
She likes coloring chalk on the sidewalks and everything else she can.
She loves reading books and doing puzzles as well as playing house with her baby dolls and wraps them up in her blankeys.
She loves to sing songs. Some of her favorites include: wheels on the bus (with all the actions of course), let it go (from Frozen), 5 little monkeys jumping on the bed,

-Mischievous things she has done:
When she is quiet she is usually into something and hiding behind her crib or in a corner somewhere. She usually gets into her hair elastics and dumping them all out.
She loves to open doors to areas she knows we don't want her in like the pantry, bathrooms, or closets. We finally had to put baby locks on the doors since she has figured out to hang on them to open them.

4th of July at Hatch

We enjoyed the 4th of July weekend at the cabin. This was the first year in quite a while I have had this holiday off so it was nice to spend time in Hatch. Aubrie and Shannon rode in the Panguitch Parade on the 4th. In the evening we went to Ruby's Inn and watched the fireworks.

Jeff and I decided to take a drive up American Fork Canyon after church one afternoon to enjoy some Smores. Aubrie enjoyed eating and dropping marshmallows.

While we were in Hatch, my parents brought up the baby 4-wheeler and grandpa taught Aubrie how to ride it. She did very well and picked it up quickly and loved full throttling the gas! As soon as we got off the 4-wheelers, she would grab her helmet and say, "more, more, more".

In other news: Jeff had his back surgery at TOSH on 7/7 (microdiscectomy). He also quite his job at Fondell Woodwork to protect his back and was able to be hired on with Ivory Homes doing warrenty work.

Summer Time

The summer started out with lots of fun and family time. Shannon graduated from Riverton High School at the beginning of June. We are proud of her and excited for her to attend Snow College.
The following weekend we celebrated my birthday and Father's Day. We had a nice dinner at my parents house and afterwards attended the Bluffdale Demolition Derby.

Aubrie started her first swimming lessons in June. She had no fear and loved jumping off the edge of the pool into our arms. She also loved kicking and splashing us.

We also had the chance to go to Lagoon 2 weekends in a row. One was Jeff's company party and then my company party. Aubrie was big enough to ride the kiddie rids and loved it.
