4th of July at Hatch

We enjoyed the 4th of July weekend at the cabin. This was the first year in quite a while I have had this holiday off so it was nice to spend time in Hatch. Aubrie and Shannon rode in the Panguitch Parade on the 4th. In the evening we went to Ruby's Inn and watched the fireworks.

Jeff and I decided to take a drive up American Fork Canyon after church one afternoon to enjoy some Smores. Aubrie enjoyed eating and dropping marshmallows.

While we were in Hatch, my parents brought up the baby 4-wheeler and grandpa taught Aubrie how to ride it. She did very well and picked it up quickly and loved full throttling the gas! As soon as we got off the 4-wheelers, she would grab her helmet and say, "more, more, more".

In other news: Jeff had his back surgery at TOSH on 7/7 (microdiscectomy). He also quite his job at Fondell Woodwork to protect his back and was able to be hired on with Ivory Homes doing warrenty work.

Summer Time

The summer started out with lots of fun and family time. Shannon graduated from Riverton High School at the beginning of June. We are proud of her and excited for her to attend Snow College.
The following weekend we celebrated my birthday and Father's Day. We had a nice dinner at my parents house and afterwards attended the Bluffdale Demolition Derby.

Aubrie started her first swimming lessons in June. She had no fear and loved jumping off the edge of the pool into our arms. She also loved kicking and splashing us.

We also had the chance to go to Lagoon 2 weekends in a row. One was Jeff's company party and then my company party. Aubrie was big enough to ride the kiddie rids and loved it.

Disneyland 2014

My little water baby enjoyed playing in the warm May weather before we left for California.
We had a 3 day Disneyland pass and spent the first day at California Adventure.

I wasn't sure how Aubrie would react to all the characters, but she LOVED seeing them. Her favorite was Minnie Mouse of course.

Playing at Crystal Cove: Every time a wave would hit Aubrie's feet she would squeal so loud...she loved it and didn't want to leave.

This trip to Disneyland was quite the adventure. I spent the first 4 days with a stomach bug and spent lots of time in the Disneyland bathrooms, needless to say, I didn't ride many rides. On the day before we were leaving, we were driving to Disneyland and got rear-ended in our rental car. The car that hit us from behind hit us so hard we hit into the car in front of us. We were all a little shaken up and still have some back/neck pain. Despite all the craziness, the best part of Disneyland was seeing the excitement on Aubrie's face when she saw all the characters and princesses.

Tulip Festival and Mother's Day

For Mother's Day weekend, I wanted to spend time as a family and enjoy the unusually warm weather at the Tulip Festival. I really tried hard to get at least one picture of Aubrie in the tulips, but I guess it was wishful thinking that a 20 month old would sit still.  Needless to say, she was a busy and grumpy one (later I found out she had 4 molars coming in at the time).
Most of my pictures turned out like the one below:

For Mother's Day, we decided it would be fun to have a 4 generational picture taken for the future. It was fun to spend time together as girls and have lunch.  For Mother's day this year I got new flip flops and a pedicure!
