Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!

We made a visit to Gardner Village to see the witches around and enjoy the fall air (and a day off work :)

Aubrie is not too sure about this witch...
I came out to the kitchen one morning and found this:
We also went with my family to ride the Alpine slide in Park City. We didn't expect to wait 2 hours though...guess the nice weather brought everyone else out too!

Trying to get a picture where Aubrie is sitting still and looking at the camera is pretty close to impossible these days.

This little girl absolutely loved playing in the leaves and was squeeling the entire time. She especially loved it when we would throw leaves into the air at her.

This Halloween Jeff and I didn't dress up but had fun dressing Aubrie up in 2 outfits. She was a fairy for the Bath party and a Bee for Halloween night.

Aubrie was very interested in what was inside the carved pumpkins and kept trying to look inside them.

Trick or Treating for the first time in our circle with Dad.
Aubrie and Uncle Ster at my parents house.
My dad celebrated his 50th birthday this year and of course had his tower of Dunford chocolate doughnuts for his cake.
These were our pumpkins this year. I ended up carving them both since Jeff wasn't feeling so well.

Fun in the Crisp Air of Fall

We decided to visit Peterson Farms to pick out our pumpkins for this year. Aubrie had fun playing in the dirt and touching every pumpkin she could get her little hands on!

Aubrie decided she wanted all of the pumpkins!

For our anniversary this year and since it fell on a Friday, we decided to celebrate it on Saturday and treated ourselves to a couple's massage, dinner at PF Changs, and spent the afternoon with our sweet girl at Cornbellys.
Here is some of the fun we had at  Cornbelly's at Thanksgiving Point. I can't believe how big of an event this has become. We got ourselves lost in the U of U vs BYU corn maze, Aubrie danced to Gangnam Style with lots of kids, she played in a barn full of corn (up to our ankles), and had fun on the slides.

Some of the things Aubrie is doing at 13 months:
  * She can now tell you what sounds a cow makes and a dog
*Is walking everywhere and doesn't like to be held anymore
*If you turn your back for one second, she is into everything. For example: eating cat food, playing in their water dish, unloading the laundry buckets and toy boxes, and her new trick is unrolling the toilet paper and then tearing it into little shreds throughout the house.
*Is drinking whole milk now but still likes it from a bottle. She still won't drink juice but loves water from a sippy cup.
*Is becoming more and more independent with feeding herself and doesn't want baby food anymore
*Loves to sing during church songs and dance to any music, with her very favorite being 'Gangnam Style'. If she hears you even say that name, she gets hyper and wants to watch the video. She even started doing the dance moves with her arms herself one day! She also loves a new song called 'What does the Fox say'.
*Will come up to us and lay her head on us to give us loves. I especially love this :)
*Loves her 4 wheeler and still says "Vrrromm" when she sees it. She also says vrromm when we push her in the shopping cart
*Is learning to love going down the slide at the park...we had a new park built in our neighborhood that we are looking forward to spending time at.

Yellowstone and a new car

In September, we visited Yellowstone for our first time with my family. My parents rented a trailer and we stayed in West Yellowstone at a nice campground. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't so great (like 30's and 40's with rain) but we made the best of it and had lots of fun seeing the animals and geysers, especially Old Faithful.

Aubrie and me at Bear World in West Yellowstone.
It was fun to watch these huge grizzlies flip over rocks and logs like they were nothing to find their food.

On our way to Old Faithful, this buffalo was walking along side the main road and as we drove up to him, he was the size of our SUV.
Aubrie all bundled up and waiting for Old Faithful to explode.

Visiting all the geysers around the park. It was neat just driving around and seeing the steam coming off of them all over the mountains and in the trees.

Aubrie just learning to walk...a week or so later, she was walking on her own (9/20/13).

We saw lots of elk and babies.
These are some stairs on the side of the cliff that lead to a lookout point for a huge waterfall.

We saw 2 black bears while driving and came across more buffalo in the road.

On our way home, we visited Bear World in Rexburg. This park is neat because you drive your car through 60 bears just roaming around. We had a few walk right next to the car which was a little scary.

We visited the petting zoo there which was fun to see and pet these animals so close.

In other news, in August we decided we couldn't wait any longer to sell the Mazda since we were having one problem after another and were wanting to get something a little bigger anyway. We sold our car on KSL and found a 2011 Chevy Traverse at Car Max for a pretty good deal.
