4th of July celebrations

This year for the 4th of July I was able to be off work so on the 3rd we attended the Riverton Parade with Amanda's family and our grandparents (Mom is still not doing well and is sick every day). Since Shannon is the 1st attendant for Miss Bluffdale, she was on the Bluffdale City Float in many parades this year.

Grandpa always has his duck call whistles at the parades to embarrass us all :)

 On the 4th we attended our ward breakfast in our circle and that afternoon we went to the Sandy parade. Dad drove the float Shannon was in this year so we couldn't be in the firetruck. We then went to Riverton to watch the fireworks that night.

10 months old

 This little munchkin is 10 months old now and as you can see by the pictures, is very active and does NOT like to sit still at all. Trying to take her "month pictures" is getting more and more challenging as now she likes to eat the sticker the second she sees it.

 "Hmmmm, how can I destroy this paper?"

 " I will just crawl away and do some push-ups instead"

 Another one of her favorite activities now that is can crawl is to chase the cats around the entire house. The second Aubrie gets within arm's reach of them, they take off.

 She still loves giving the "cheesy face" everytime the camera comes out.

At 10 months Aubrie:
 * Started to army crawl about a month ago and all of a sudden she is taking off on all fours
    and if she really wants something she speedly army crawls to it.
*Has a new found love for her pink blanket from the hospital and gets so excited to see it and cuddles it once she gets her hands on it
*Has finally cut her two bottom teeth while we were in the hospital and now is drooling like crazy
*Still loves watching Micky Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First, and now Jake and the Neverland Pirates
*Is starting to get separation anxiety :(
*Thinks it is fun to drop her cheerios or toys one by one onto the floor and cry until you give them back, just for her to do it again.
*Has tried chicken, bits of green beans and string cheese
*Still gets daily compliments wherever we go on how cute she is and how cute her hair is
*Is able to open drawers and is starting to pull herself up onto the couch

First camping trip and fun in a box

 At the end of June, we were supposed to be in Lake Powell, but due to my mom's health not being so good, we ended up taking a little overnight camping trip up American Fork Canyon, just the 3 of us. We ended up hiking up Timpanogos to the caves with Aubrie and she did very well and slept the entire way up and down.

 She loves her little baby doll and will carry her everywhere she crawls to. She also gets so excited to see her and will just sit and jabber with her in a funny little voice.

 The last few days of June were very hot....104 degrees so we decided to cool off with some popsicles, but Aubrie decided the stick tasted better.

3 long days at Primary Childrens

As I sit in Aubrie's hospital room at Primary Childrens, I am thinking of how sweet and precious this little girl is in our lives. Our adventure here started with a typical cold a week ago. It started to get worse with a cough and then weezing a few days later. I didn't think too much of it since Aubrie has been constantly sick since starting daycare in November and just figured it was another cold with the unfortunate timing of getting her two bottom teeth. On Sunday evening, she started having a harder time breathing and her little chest was sinking in with each breath so I decided it can't wait and I took her to instacare. At the instacare, the doctor told us she most likely has RSV and she was nasal suctioned and given a nebulizer breathing treatment which seemed to help. At the same time she was also dx with pink eye (which I had the lucky fortune of getting too) and ear infections.

The next day I called Dr. Boud and they sent us to Primaries for further help. On Tues 6/25/13, we went to the ER and numerous doctors and respiratory therapist came in to evaluate her and they said she just had a cold with no other infections and no wheezes. I was so frustrated because earlier that morning I saw drainage coming from her ear and she has been pulling at her ears so I KNEW she had to have an infection. Also the respiratory therapist said she agreed with us that she heard weezes. The doctor was going to send us home but meanwhile I had been watching Aubrie's O2 sats and they were bouncing from 90's to low 80%  and then they dropped to the 70's for a while. A nurse came in and said she required O2 at this point and she would be admitted since she was having a hard time maintaining sats. We sat for hours waiting for a room to open up and finally in the afternoon we moved up to the inpatient floor.

4 doctors met us and assessed her all 4 agreeing that she had both pink eye and ear infections as well as weezing and wanted to moniter her and test to verify her virus. She was suctioned again and then given more breathing treatments and she was able to decrease her O2 from 2 L to .5 with no problems until she decided to take a nap and down they went again. Over night she was able to be dropped down again to .5 for a few hours until she had more trouble and back to 1 L we went. I am sure hoping to go home soon as both Jeff and I have missed a lot of  work lately and its hard to be away from home but I am greatful for the wonderful help her at Primaries.

Aubrie has been a trooper through all of this....she is quite lethargic and just wants to cuddle with mom and dad, but occasionally she gets lots of energy and is herself again. She loves having her baby doll her to play with and will sit and talk to her in her cute gibberish. She doesn't like having the canula on and constantly tries to pull it out.... I don't blame her. She also has EKG leads and another moniter hooked up to her so its a little tricky holding her or letting her play in the crib. All the nurses love little Aubrie and say she is so mature in looks and in and behavior since she is so calm.

After 3 long days, Aubrie's oxygen sats were able to stabilize and she was able to be on room air and was able to discharge without oxygen (which was a miracle since the doctors all said she will go home with it for a few weeks). We are so thankful for all the prayers in our behalf and know without the help and watchful eye of Heavenly Father things could have been a lot worse.

 The first few days, Aubrie slept almost non-stop with a few rare minutes of energy to play.

Summer fun

 Aubrie's first time in a swimming pool....it wasn't a heated pool so she didn't stay in too long, but she couldn't get enough of splashing and kicking.

At 9 1/2 months she started to "army crawl" and a week later was crawling on all fours very quickly.

9 months

 Aubrie is 9 months old now!!! I can't believe she will be a year old before we know it! She continues to grow and develop her strong personality day by day.

This was her Mother's Day present from Daycare

 Aubrie learned how to play catch and throw the ball back and forth. The first time I played with her she was giggling so hard she was falling over. :)

 Aubrie loves riding on her ladybug from Grandma. She will roll across the room to play with it.

At 9 months:
   Weight: 18.65 lbs    40%
   Height: 28.35 in   70% ( she grew 4 inches since last appointment)
*On June 15th (9.5 months) she started belly crawling
* Learned how to throw and catch a ball with Mommy
*Learned how to clap her hands
*Is finally sleeping through the night unless she is sick
*Is still getting compliments EVERY time we ever go out on how cute she is. We were at the Chris Cagle concert and a dad came up to us and wanted to hold her because she was so cute.
*Makes a "cheesey scrunch face" at everyone and anytime I pull the camera out
*Can slither along the floor by pushing up on her toes in push up position, but not crawling quite yet although she rolls like crazy.
*Is getting more impatient and getting harder to change her diaper and get dressed since she tries to roll everywhere
*Loves gerber puffs and cheerios and doesn't gag on them anymore
*Talks a lot around mom and dad and says bababa and dadada
*Loves being outside and will be smiling the whole time
*Went to her first concert, Chris Cagle and was dancing the whole time and wouldn't go to bed
