Summer Fun

The weather decided to finally warm up a bit and so we took advantage of playing in the water in June.

Herriman Fireworks were in June and normally we can enjoy sitting at the park at night. Well, this year we sat in the back of my SUV wrapped in blankets and coats until the fireworks started since it was so chilly.

Summer sports started up with Aubrie playing baseball. She loves the competition and continues to have a good throw/aim since she was a tiny girl tossing a ball back and forth to me at 6 months old.

Brynnley started her first year playing soccer. Her teams name is the Flaming Hot Cheetos! She likes to chase around the ball but also enjoys playing in the grass while sitting on the sidelines and pretending she is a bird.

We went to the Lehi Rodeo this year which the girls loved dressing up in their cowgirl hats and boots.

Family Pictures

For my birthday present this year I wanted to get more family pictures since the girls are growing so fast and are so cute right now. Tasha Whitmil has done them for the past few years and I have loved how they turn out. We took them at a beach house in Daybreak early in the morning, but due to the crazy Utah weather it was only in the 40's that morning so Brynnley was not too happy.

I am glad we got some cute pictures, especially having the pictures of me and the girls together are really important to me.

June Birthday Fun

The first weekend of June was South Jordan days. This year has been very cold so far and we haven't had much spring. We went to the South Jordan Parade which was our first parade of the summer but it felt more like winter and even snowed a little that day.

Brynnley celebrated her 4th birthday all month long!

She chose to eat her birthday dinner at Texas Roadhouse where she got to ride on the saddle and get her own ice cream.

We also went to see the movie "Life of Pets 2" that weekend.
We held a combined birthday for Brynnley and me at our house for some dessert....chocolate cake with a unicorn of course was the top choice.

My mom made me a special fruit platter for my "cake" since I am not supposed to have sugar.

We spent my actual birthday, which landed on Father's day this year camping at Hyrum Lake. My parents came up with us for the weekend to celebrate and enjoy boating.
Playing at Hyrum Lake with the kayak for the first time.

Of course we had to make s'mores over the campfire and the girls even played games with Papa Matt.

Aubrie was brave enough to ride the tube for the first time behind Papa's boat.

I also decided to take a ride too since I haven't been tubing for years. It was fun but not so fun falling in the freezing water.

Brynnley requested back at the beginning of the year that she wanted a Unicorn theme party for her 4th birthday. She invited Addie and Harper and Ezra and Allie Bush next door.
