June Fun

June was quite eventful and filled with Demolition Derbys, Parades, Bees baseball games, Playing in the water, doctors appointments, and Aubrie's 1st Pre-School graduation.
on 6-20 at Karens aubrie stood on basketball and fell off and hurt her L foot x ray was neg.

Aubrie was proud of all of her Tsum Tsum toys she organized by size.

Cute little girl in her Minnie Mouse swimsuit and sun hat. Brynnley didn't love playing in the cold water, even when it was so hot outside, but was satisfied scooping it into buckets.

Bees Game with Dave and Cher and Grandma and Grandpa P

Brynnley and some of her favorite things to cuddle up with: blanky, binkie and her milk
On June 20th, Aubrie was being babysat by Grandma Bath and hurt her ankle. She was trying to stand and balance on a basketball but slipped off. It was pretty swollen and she couldn't walk on it so away to the pediatrician we went. No fracture, but bad sprain in her foot. It was frustrating knowing that this happened early in the morning and she was in pain all day without me knowing it was hurt so bad.

Ride the Brainwave is a fundraiser event put on by a group in Utah called Children and the Earth. On June 2nd, I was one of the Teams that was trying to earn some money for medical bills. I had support from my family, my kids and a lot of firefighters and their wives. We even were able to walk the 5K!

Aubrie 1st Preschool graduation was held on June 28th. I loved hearing all the kids singing the cute songs and seeing all the fun projects they have done this year. During Aubrie's part, she announced that she wants to be a teacher when she grows up.

Brynnley's 2nd Birthday and Mom's 31st Birthday

My cute little Brynnley is turning 2 this month on June 12th! She chose to have a paw patrol party (she adores any dog). She got to celebrate her birthday along with my 31st! It was fun to share a birthday with my little girl. We had our party at Donkey Park (Butterfield Park) in Sandy.

 Brynnley at 2 years old:

- loves chocolate (it was one of her first clear words we could understand)
- Favorite things to say, " I want one"   "milk pees" and  "I want more"
- She is such a gentle little thing and will give the sweetest soft kisses and hugs
- Loves playing with big sister
- Doesn't like to be buckled in car seat and fights when it is time to get in
- Loves walks and always asks for "ride" in the stroller
- Likes to help feed the birds in the backyard and help to fill up the birdfeeder
- Likes Minnie mouse, paw patrol and any dog movie, show or book
- Sleeps in Mom and Dad's bed and loves to cuddle close
- Asks for her binky and blanket (pink and black fox one) every night
- Is not a morning person and loves sleeping in.
- Has the cutest run and has a little hip twist
- She wears size 18 mo to 2T now
- She likes to be independent and feed herself, brush own teeth and put shoes on (especially mom's
  shoes)
- Goes to nursery and loves playing with the kids
- Throws tantrums and throws herself onto the floor or couch and folds her arms and says no
- Likes to hug/lay on cats
- Loves playing outside and riding in the swing
- She is a picky eater but loves any kind of berries and especially picking and eating the ones straight from the garden
- She loves one of the plants in the back yard and calls it her blanky cause it is so so soft...she picks a leaf and rubs it on her cheek.

She got to have her favorite dessert....Chocolate!

June cancer gofund me

Finally some good news to report! For the past 3 months I have been taking an oral chemotherapy pill daily in hopes of helping to slow my cancer from growing. I had my CT scan this week and was told by my Oncologist that there are still 4 tumors in my pelvis and abdomen that they are watching. This recent scan showed that some are growing a little bit, one is the same size, and one has become a little smaller compared to my scan 3 months ago. The Dr. considers this response to the medication to be good. I will continue taking this chemo med for the next 3 months until I have a repeat CT scan.

I have had a lot of people ask how I am feeling lately.... For the most part I feel pretty good. This medication makes me very very tired (a fatigue that a nap doesn't fix) and I also get bad joint pains to the point I can't walk, but compared to what I have already been through I am pushing through the side effects. I have found that going to the gym has given me a positive outlet for stress and has helped me to get much stronger. I have also been focusing a lot on alternative treatments including: acupuncture, diet changes (no more dairy, sugar or meat- all of these feed cancer), supplements to boost my immune system, and staying active.
I have been working full time as a Physical Therapist in South Jordan and enjoy healing others, but unfortunately by the end of the week I am too exhausted to do much and end up sleeping most of the weekend. I never thought I would have to make a choice between cleaning my house or grocery shopping on the weekend, but my energy only allows me to do one. Also trying to be the best mom to my 4 and 2 year old girls keeps me very busy, but I can't complain....they are so sweet and keep me positive!

I appreciate everyone's love, prayers, kindness and donations in my behalf. I will continue to fight this Cancer with all I have!
